Moving around in Cancun is very easy and convenient. There are two places where you will need to go; down the hotel zone to downtown and up the hotel zone from downtown. There are buses that cover that route all day and all night. The buses stop at every hotel on the strip every five minutes during the day and about every 30 minutes at night. The price for a bus ticket is about $1 US dollar per person each time you get on.

Taxis are also available all day and night. Taxis are more convenient than the buses and the prices are also very inexpensive. You will find a chart with rates to the most visited places posted at the lobby of your hotel.

Do you need to rent a car? Not really, unless you know where you are going and you have really good insurance. And car rentals in Cancun are a little expensive.
